Mountain Climbers

Ron and I have been climbing the "mountains" (or maybe hills) the last few days and it has been cold in the mornings, hence the gloves on my hands. The view is so worth the climb.

Fall Colors

We thought we had left all the fall colors behind in Colorado, but the Aspen are just turning in the valley and they are gorgeous.

Verde Valley Railroad

Today we took a ride on the Verde Valley Railroad. It was really cool. We had first class tickets so our journey started with a glass of champaign and then a couple of coolish beverages that were weird colors. We had a great time and saw some beautiful areas that you could only see by train.

"OLD" Friends

Met up with Bonnie Moyer and her friend Carol in Glendale, AZ. Toured a candy shop - ate a little candy and visited. We ate Sinner (a combination of dinner and supper) at a German restaurant that was very cool. Great to see you, Bonnie and meet your friend.

Sunsets and Friends

I wanted to share these beautiful sunsets that Ron photographed a couple of nights ago. They were just amazing.

We recently visited a friend that Ron last saw in 1961, Larry Walby. We joined he and his wife, Sandy, in their lovely home in Chandler, AZ. They really have three homes, the one in Chandler, an RV for the road and a beautiful doll house. I have never seen anything quite like it. I will be posting pictures.

Today in Phoenix Area

Today we traveled north to Chandler, AZ near Phoenix to find Ron's Grandma's burial site. We found it at the first cemetery we went to even though they had told me by phone she wasn't there. She passed away in Illinois in Katy's arms, but wanted to be buried here where she lived. Katy had never been back here to see the grave, so we have sent her pictures. We also had a chance to visit Dennis and Sharon Johnson. It was so much fun to see old friends and we had lunch at a lovely restaurant where we could view the town fountain - hence the name of the town, Fountain Hills.
