Feeding the Deer

Our campground is full of deer. We took some dog food outside and they came running from every direction. There were over 20 and you will notice a couple of nice bucks. Thought the hunters would enjoy this scene.

Our Hapii

A TRIBUTE TO HAPII!
On January 21st we had to part with our beautiful little dog that showed us so much love in such a short time. He was only 11 months old, but it was not possible to restore him to a normal happy puppy, so we made the heartbreaking decision to let him cross the bridge to "Puppy Heaven." Our hearts are broken, but we try to remember all the love he gave and all the "Hapii" moments we had with him.

Cousins and Nursing Home

We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful home that Aunt Ruby resides in. She is very well cared for by nuns in their beautiful white uniforms. The garden has the Stations of the Cross in the gardens and beautiful fish. It is really a lovely place for a lovely lady.

Aunt Ruby

Ron and I had the pleasure of visiting my Aunt Ruby (my mom's only living sibling) in Thousand Oaks, CA. she is 95, but doesn't look her age. We had a great visit and she still has a wonderful sense of humor. The pink Teddy Bear was our gift to her. When she lived in her own home, she decorated in pink and I loved to go there after my Mom died, because she had many of the same habits that I remember about my Mom. The Jensen sense of humor came through many times during our afternoon visit. A special Thank You to Delores, Brian, Crystal (her daughter) and Wilbur for joining us. It was a really special day.

California Rains

We are surrounded by water. This afternoon we had to take the doggies out. Luckily we had just purchased rain coats, but no boots. So Ron is out looking for old fashioned rubber boots so we don't get soaked. The poor puppies were all wet, but they did their thing and hopped back in the RV. They say this area doesn't flood, but it appears to me that we could be in trouble. We will put the air bags up if it continues to rain like they are forcasting. And we do have the choice of unplugging the power and running the generator. Luckily we have a full tank of fuel. I have to say that we do not lack in excitment - some good - some not so good. Don't have a life jacket - darn.

Hapii

Hapii has an injured shoulder, so he can't walk long distances for a few months. I found this stroller on Craig's List and we picked it up Saturday. He loves riding around in it as long as he can see Buddy. I don't have any pictures of our trip to Hollywood yesterday to see the Dr. Phil show taped as some person, (name excluded) didn't think I wanted the camera and put it away so it wasn't by my purse when we left at 5:30AM. Since this isn't my brightest time of the day, I didn't miss it until it was too late. Someone was in a "little" trouble, but he is out carving my walking stick and is in my good graces again.

Christmas in Colorado

Somehow I got busy and didn't realize until today that I hadn't blogged about our wonderful Christmas at Tanya and Gregs. Chef Tanya fed us with delicious dishes from her kitchen and we all ate way too much. We had great fun and want to say a big "Thank You to Tanya and Greg for hosting us."
