The REAL Christmas Tree

Last night we enjoyed a delicious dinner with the Lanctots in a casino restaurant. I noticed that everywhere we went the Christmas Trees were straight and perfect and full of lovely decorations.

After dinner we went to a mall that was beautifully decorated and it had the perfect tree in the center with the lights changing colors. I, along with everyone else, admired the beautiful tree.

We went into Pottery Barn to do a little shopping and I admired the white candle trees. They were sparkly and straight and very attractive. The size was perfect for the RV and I was so tempted to pay their outrageous price and purchase our one and only lonely decoration.

When we moved on through the store, this little tree caught my attention. I felt so bad for the poor little crooked candle tree. It appeared that no one loved it enough to care for it and put it back in the sun until it could be straightened. I caressed the sweet little candle and talked to it. He said, "I am lonely and no one wants me because I am crooked. I will probably set here until after christmas and then someone will either throw me away or sell me for 50 cents. Do you like me?" I told him that he was perfect for our home and I was going to take him home and love him with all my heart. He was so happy and I cradled him in my arms as I went to the check out to pay for the perfect tree. Now he sets with pride on our table.

He may not be the perfect tree for everyone, but he matches the Qtips (white hair - white shoes) living here. And I saved $15.00.
